A Milken Education

Learning at Milken

At Milken Community School, we provide students access to unparalleled faculty and amenities to develop their interests and pursue their goals. Through our rigorous academic curriculum and supported by our community and staff, our students think well, belong to something greater than themselves and take positive action.

Learning at Milken happens everywhere – in classrooms, on trips, during programs and beyond. Grounded in Jewish values, traditions and practices, a Milken education encompasses the social, emotional and spiritual realms. We develop students through the pursuit of deeply held core values including:
  • Striving for academic excellence Talmud Torah
  • Building joyful, welcoming community Kehillah
  • Treating others with dignity and kindness Kavod HaBriyot
  • Taking responsibility for self and for others Areivut
  • Connecting to Israel and the Jewish people Ahavat Yisrael
  • Reflecting and repairing with integrity - Teshuvah
  • Pausing to nurture the soul - Shavat Vayinafash
At Milken, we believe in excellence with purpose. Learning here is challenging and helps develop humility and confidence, grit and self-efficacy. We set ambitious goals that are centered on each individual learner and that offer multiple paths to success. Our philosophy is built around the idea that joy leads to life-long learning; curiosity leads to scholarship; and integration leads to deep understanding of ourselves and the wider world.

We work to promote a passion for learning at all levels of the academic experience. Whether through leading-edge instruction at Milken’s Architecture + Design Institute (AD+I), hands-on experimentation in an MIT-inspired Fab Lab or transformative lessons in positive psychology, our graduates are uniquely prepared for life beyond Milken in the wider world.

Welcome to Milken!

Milken prepares students to contribute to the world. It's not just about our academic success, but also our broader positive impact on the community.
At Milken Community School, we think education is more than what you know. Our School, founded on Jewish values, is about who our children can become and how they can help others become who they might be. Because the world our children will create tomorrow is born in the School we build today, our mission is to educate our children so they can surpass us.
