Steps to Apply

  • Complete Your Application

    • To begin, please create an account. When your form is processed, you will receive a myMilken username and password which will give you access to the online application. If you are a current family or have a Milken account, please start here to create an account for this applicant. 
    • Your application can be completed at your convenience with your myMilken login. You can log out and return to complete the application without losing data before submitting the final version. We recommend submitting applications as soon as possible. Early applicants will be assigned to an earlier interview date starting in November.
    • Application Deadlines:
      • For all grades, applications for admission of sibling and legacy families are due November 5, 2020
      • For all grades, applications for admission of new families are due January 4, 2021.
      A complete application includes:
      • The completed application form, including parent and student questionnaires
      • Photo of applicant
      • Non-refundable application fee of $150
  • Attend Your Interview

    Once you have submitted your completed application, you can schedule your interview through the online self-scheduling system. An email confirmation will be sent from the Office of Admission to confirm that the time you selected is available. If you do not receive this email confirmation, please contact us at 310.440.3553. 
  • Provide Supplemental Forms and Transcripts

    The Administrator and Teacher Recommendations and Authorization for Release of Records are available to print from this page. Please provide these forms to the applicant’s current school as they are also required for the application to be complete. The deadline to submit student records and test scores is Friday, January 15, 2021. Please send all forms and relevant materials to

    In light of current events and following the lead of colleges and universities, Milken Community School has made the decision to suspend our ISEE testing requirement for one year. Therefore, candidates applying for the 2021-2022 school year have the option to submit testing results, but are not required to.

    Due to the Covid-19 Outbreak, we will not be an ISEE testing site this year.

Admission Decision Committee

A committee comprised of school administrators along with the admission team meets to review applications to both the Middle School and Upper School. Consideration for admission is based upon a number of factors that include the application, the interview, standardized test scores, transcripts and recommendations.

  • Sibling and legacy application are due Thursday, November 5, 2020
  • New Student applications are due on Monday, January 4, 2021
