Beit AI

Where Jewish Thought Meets Artificial Intelligence

Beit AI is Milken Community School’s innovation initiative integrating Jewish values with thoughtful, ethical engagement in artificial intelligence. Rooted in our mission to educate children who will surpass us, Beit AI ensures that students are not only prepared for the future—but equipped to help shape it with wisdom, responsibility, and compassion.

Our Vision: Building a “Beit”

Beit AI reflects Milken’s belief that Jewish education must evolve alongside the world it seeks to improve. By grounding our engagement with generative artificial intelligence in Milken’s core values, we empower students to become not just skilled users of technology, but ethical leaders and contributors to a better world.

Beit, meaning “house” in Hebrew, represents a home for learning, wonder, and responsibility. Beit AI is a house of inquiry, creativity, ethics, and pluralistic Jewish thought—where Jewish tradition and technological innovation grow side by side.

Milken is proud to lead in AI education and remains deeply committed to ongoing growth and innovation in this space.

Our Guiding Principles

At the heart of Beit AI is a spirit of inquiry. As artificial intelligence rapidly evolves, we return to enduring Jewish questions about human dignity, moral responsibility, and the pursuit of wisdom. These principles guide our work and ensure it remains aligned with our mission and values.

Cultivate a Theology of Humanity in the Age of AI

We explore what it means to be created B’tzelem Elohim in a world increasingly shaped by intelligent machines—ensuring that technological progress preserves and elevates human dignity.

Apply Jewish Ethics to the Design and Use of Technology

Jewish law (halakhah) and moral reasoning guide how we create, use, and respond to AI, grounding innovation in responsibility, justice, and areivut (mutual responsibility).

Form Spiritually Rooted, Ethically Courageous Leaders

Students are educated to balance technological fluency with Talmud Torah, Shavat Vayinafash, and moral courage—preparing them to lead thoughtfully in an AI-driven world.

Beit AI Today & the Road Ahead

Beit AI is an ongoing journey of learning and reflection. As artificial intelligence continues to develop, Milken will continue asking questions, learning together, and guiding our work with purpose and responsibility—anchored in Jewish values.
