About

Jan Koum Campus

LATEST UPDATE

Dear Milken Community,
We are excited to share wonderful news: the City of Los Angeles has officially approved Milken Community School’s Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for the Jan Koum Campus!

This important milestone means we remain on schedule to welcome students for the 2026–2027 school year at both the Jan Koum Campus and the Ruby Family Campus. Together, these campuses will serve approximately 850 students this year in dynamic learning environments that reflect Milken’s commitment to educational excellence.

This moment belongs to our entire community.

Our neighbors, supporters, families, alumni, alumni parents, faculty, staff, donors, and friends all played a role in making this vision a reality. The relationships we have built throughout Los Angeles, our incredible faculty and staff, the accomplishments of our students, the impact of our alumni, and the generosity of a community that has invested more than $152 million in Milken all helped make this possible.

Thank you for believing in our mission and for helping write the next chapter of Milken’s story.

We look forward to welcoming our community to campus this fall and celebrating what promises to be a truly historic year—and an even brighter future.

Sincerely,

Sarah Shulkind
Head of School

Being Good Neighbors
We talk a lot about our core value of Kehillah - building a warm, welcoming community - and that extends to our neighbors on Mulholland and Casiano next door to Milken East. As always, please continue to be good neighbors by respecting the speed limits on our local streets, and abiding by all local traffic laws.

Milken prepares students to contribute to the world. It's not just about our academic success, but also our broader positive impact on the community.

At Milken Community School, we think education is more than what you know. Our School, founded on Jewish values, is about who our children can become and how they can help others become who they might be. Because the world our children will create tomorrow is born in the School we build today, our mission is to educate our children so they can surpass us.
