Rabbi Isaiah Zeldin Endowment Fund for Children of Milken Alumni

Over 3,200 alumni have graduated from Milken since its founding 30 years ago. Many of those alumni received a Milken education because of their parents, grandparents, and communal leaders who made it possible.

Rabbi Isaiah Zeldin, z”l, a founder of Milken Community School, had the vision, dedication, and passion to build Milken for our Los Angeles Jewish community.  To honor his memory and commitment to Jewish children, a new fund was founded on May 1, 2022, in his honor to light the path for today’s and the future generations of Milken students. The Rabbi Zeldin Endowment Fund for the Children of Milken Alumni was created to support future generations of Milken students. This endowment fund is restricted to subsidize tuition assistance for children of Milken alumni, ensuring there will always be funding available for alumni to afford a Milken education for their children.

Rabbi Zeldin understood that the Milken mission sees the community as connected across time, part of eternal fabric. Rabbi Zeldin had the moral and spiritual imagination that got Milken this far.  This fund is a connection from the past generations to the future ones, continuing to fulfill the idea of educating our children to surpass us.

Milken honors Rabbi Zeldin and his family who made the founding gift to this fund.

At Milken Community School, we think education is more than what you know. Our School, founded on Jewish values, is about who our children can become and how they can help others become who they might be. Because the world our children will create tomorrow is born in the School we build today, our mission is to educate our children so they can surpass us.
