The Mitchell Academy of Science and Technology (MAST) was created in 2003 for the purpose of providing extraordinary enrichment opportunities in science for Milken students. A generous donation by the Edward D. and Anna Mitchell Family Foundation and the Kayla Mitchell Foundation made the Academy a reality.
In tandem with Milken's Science Department, MAST provides a wide variety of elective and extracurricular programs in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy & Physiology, Sports Medicine, Environmental Science, and Neuroscience. MAST students receive encouragement and professional guidance in the creation of their own advanced research projects.
The MAST Room, itself a fully functional science lab, is located in the center of our campus in our Science Quad—a space that also features lab spaces specially designed to support our Biology, Chemistry, and Physics programs.
