Some love stories feel written in the stars, and for Daniella Cohensegh ’17 and Nathan Nourian ’12, everything fell into place with ease. The two first met at the wedding of Milken alumna Alex Ashoori Nik ’17. At the time, Nathan was living in Atlanta while Daniella was in Washington, D.C. for law school. Despite the distance, their connection felt effortless. They embraced the challenge of a long distance relationship for nine months, including Daniella’s study abroad in London, and through it all, their relationship only deepened. That strong foundation has brought them to their own wedding day, which they will celebrate on November 1, 2025.
While their romance didn’t begin at Milken, the school played a powerful role in shaping the values that connected them. Daniella knew that Nathan and his sister, Candice Nourian ’19, were Milken alumni, which gave her confidence that their families shared the same traditions and priorities, especially the importance of raising Jewish children. “Milken felt like home,” Daniella explains. “We both grew up in this community, surrounded by people with the same traditions and outlook.” Nathan agrees: “Even if you don’t personally know another Milken graduate, there’s still an instant connection. Our paths are so similar that it feels like family.
Now happily settled in Los Angeles, Daniella and Nathan are building a life together that blends their shared passions and professional successes. Daniella is a labor and employment lawyer at Allen Matkins, while Nathan runs his own private orthodontics practice, Textbook Orthodontics (textbookorthodontics.com), in Van Nuys. Both are deeply grateful for the journey that brought them together and are excited for all that lies ahead as they continue to grow side by side.
At Milken Community School, we think education is more than what you know.
