Milken Alumni named to Forbes 30 Under 30 List
It's not every day that a school can boast a graduate has been named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, but Milken is celebrating two alumnae on the list this year! Ali Kriegsman '09 and Jasmin Larian Hekmat '06 were both recognized for their talent and achievements. They join the ranks of two other alumni who were named in 2015, Mark Gurman '12 and Asher Vollmer '08.
Kriegsman is the co-founder and COO of Bulletin, a retailer of curated and often handmade goods with both e-commerce and brick-and-mortar spaces, which includes three storefronts in New York. Hekmat is another creative alumna, having founded Cult Gaia where she designs clothing, bags, and accessories for women. Her company’s aesthetic is described as “Cali-meets-Grace-Kelly,” and one item, in particular, Gaia’s Ark bag, has gained a huge celebrity following. Hekmat is married to Ryan Hekmat ’98, and she attributes some of her creativity to her time at Milken, saying “The teachers and the curriculum at Milken made me feel very free to explore the fields I was interested in and I always felt like my creativity was valued and nurtured by my teachers and peers.” Read Hekmat's 30 Under 30 Profile
