POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a responsible, enthusiastic, and team-oriented Middle School Boys Volleyball Head Coach to lead and develop our student-athletes throughout the 2026 volleyball season. The ideal candidate is a positive role model who demonstrates strong leadership, communication skills, and a passion for youth sports.They must adhere to Milken Community School rules and regulations. Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and the Program Head.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coaching & Player Development
Plan and run effective practices focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Teach fundamental and advanced volleyball techniques appropriate for middle school athletes.
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for players.
Leadership & Team Management
Serve as a strong leader and mentor for student-athletes.
Model professionalism, respect, and integrity at all times.
Manage game-day lineups, strategy, and overall team performance.
Communication
Maintain clear and timely communication with players, families, and school administration.
Provide updates regarding schedules, expectations, travel details, and team progress.
Logistics & Supervision
Ride the bus to and from all competition sites as required by the school.
Ensure proper supervision of students before, during, and after practices and competitions.
Coordinate equipment needs and maintain an organized practice/game environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior coaching or playing experience in volleyball (middle school or higher preferred).
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to lead, motivate, and engage middle school athletes.
Must be responsible, reliable, and committed to the full season schedule.
CPR/First Aid certification
SEASON DATES: February 23, 2026 – May 21, 2026
HOURLY RATE: $40-$45
