    Position Overview
    The Upper School Theatre Teacher/Director is a full-time teacher and member of the Performing Arts Department, reporting to the Department Chair. This teacher will work closely with our production team to create engaging, high-quality theatrical productions. For reference, past productions include Les Misérables, Cripple of Inishmaan, Macbeth, Into the Woods, The 39 Steps, Spamalot, and Sweeney Todd. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a team of creative professionals to ensure that the artistic qualities of his/her colleagues and students flourish, contributing to a well-articulated and thoughtful vision of each production. Primary responsibilities include: teaching up to 3 classes per semester (Acting, Advanced Acting, and an additional performing arts elective), directing one play and one musical per year, and serving as a faculty advisor to relevant student groups.
