Family Law with Michael Hanasab '99

Michael Hanasab ’99 is a partner at Jamra & Jamra, LLP, in Beverly Hills, a family law firm which focuses on child custody, divorce, and other issues related to marriage and domestic partnerships. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers on their annual “Rising Stars” list for each of the past ten years and was named a Top Lawyer in 2019 by Pasadena Magazine. While many family law issues are challenging, Michael sees himself as practicing the “business of new beginnings” by helping people transition through the most difficult time in their lives.

Michael is deeply engaged with the cases at Jamra & Jamra, whose team works exclusively on family law matters, making the firm highly sought-after in Southern California, particularly for those in the entertainment industry. Prior to practicing family law, Michael worked in entertainment law with Universal Music Group. His breadth of legal experience has given Michael the opportunity to represent people from diverse backgrounds on a wide range of legal issues.

While a student at Milken Community Schools, Michael played on the high school basketball team, was active in student council, and served as the President of the Junior Statesmen of America. He earned an undergraduate degree in law and society from UC Santa Barbara before attending Loyola Law School, where he earned his law degree in 2006.

While maintaining a busy schedule of clients, Michael still makes it a priority to provide legal services as a volunteer with local domestic violence programs. Michael married his wife, Natasha, in 2017 and, along with their dog Kobe, they are both enjoying living in Los Angeles
