Dr. Schwartz leads the Upper School administrative team and teaching faculty, sets goals and priorities, and oversees the school's day-to-day operations. She collaborates with the school's leadership team in all areas of curriculum, instruction, student support, and student life. While it is usually best for families to consult with their faculty advisor, grade level assistant principal, teacher or department chair when specific questions or concerns arise, Dr. Schwartz is available to both students and parents as needed. She looks forward to welcoming you to the Milken community.
Leigh Fauber | Assistant Principal (Grades 9 & 10) | lfauber@milkenschool.org

Ms. Fauber enjoys working with ninth graders as they transition from middle school, as well as our tenth graders as they foster the skills they developed in ninth grade. She collaborates with our dedicated faculty, advisors, academic planners, and student support team to provide appropriate support for our students to be their best selves. Ms. Fauber has an open door policy and encourages her students to drop by anytime.

Mr. Lindsay’s highest priority is the success of each eleventh and twelfth grade student. He works closely with our student support team, advisors, college counselors, and faculty in order to address students’ social-emotional needs, academic classes, and programming as he guides their reflection on the issues and challenges of transition. Mr. Lindsay’s door is always open to students.

Rabbi Bernat-Kunin, affectionately known as Rabbi BK, oversees Jewish Studies, Jewish culture and programming, the Beit Midrash Fellowship program, the Global Beit Midrash, Social Action, and the many ways in which Jewish values, texts, and ideas integrate into the mission, culture, and curriculum of our school. He loves to work with students, strengthen community and help build the Jewish future together.
Whitney Fisch | Director of Counseling | wfisch@milkenschool.org

Ms. Fisch oversees Milken Upper School’s Health and Wellness department, which consists of the counseling staff, school nurse, Director of Advisory and the Health educator. As Director of Counseling at the Upper School, Ms. Fisch focuses her work on meeting the social and emotional needs of our students. In addition to working with small student groups and individuals, Ms. Fisch develops and facilitates parent and family educational programs.
Sarah Farkas | US Academic Dean | sfarkas@milkenschool.org

Ms. Farkas works with students on the use of a variety of educational strategies to enhance their academic skills in the classroom. She works closely with teachers and academic departments to ensure that they have solid resources to meet the diverse needs of their students. She ensures that students with accommodations get their needs met in the classroom. Ms Farkas also spends time focusing on the overall school curriculum. She works with our departments and teachers to continually evolve and strength our 9-12 grade curriculum on campus.
Ross D. Mankuta | Director of College Counseling & Academic Planning | rmankuta@milkenschool.org

Mr. Mankuta leads this department where Milken’s counselors begin working with students when they enter Milken, helping each student navigate their high school career. Meetings during the freshman and sophomore year focus on involvement in school life, extracurricular activities, finding passions in the classroom, and the scheduling of classes. While these conversations continue during the junior and senior year, during junior year the college counseling program begins in earnest with weekly college counseling classes coupled with myriad premier events for both students and their families.
