A Match Made at Milken!

Lisa Schlesinger '06 and Michael Goldsmith '06 are engaged!

They first met as freshmen at Milken in 2002, but it took a real mitzvah to spark their love, well over a decade later. Fast forward to March 2016, when Michael learned that he was a stem cell match for a cancer patient through Be the Match and chose to donate. Lisa saw Michael’s Facebook post about the experience and reached out to tell him she thought his donation was incredible. The two continued corresponding and began dating long distance between New York and Los Angeles.

Separated by thousands of miles, exchanging a whirlwind of messages and remaining connected, they braved the long distance dating game for four months before Lisa moved back to Los Angeles to join Michael, and they have been inseparable ever since.

In July 2017, Michael proposed to Lisa at The Last Bookstore in Los Angeles, where they had their first date. Lisa and Michael are getting married this Labor Day weekend and are so excited that they each found their perfect match!
