SummerBoost! offers students the opportunity to strengthen their grasp on specific content areas in their academics. With this “boost,” students will feel more comfortable and confident as they approach their next year of education. As students review core concepts from the past school year, each learner’s areas of growth will turn into strengths.

Small classes, individualized attention, specialized practice and targeted teaching will boost your child’s anticipation of the next school year because of the strong foundation built during this time. Give your child the tools they need to succeed as they begin their new school year with unparalleled confidence.

  • Executive Function Boot Camp - Sessions A or C

Executive Function skills are the management systems of the brain which allow us to plan, organize, and monitor how we learn, work, and carry out every day activities.  In middle school, the executive functioning demands on an adolescent’s developing brain are challenged as never before, with multiple classes, teacher expectations, and extracurricular activities.  Using games, puzzles, and other engaging activities, students will explore the different executive skills and study how they are developed. Next, they will identify their own personal strengths and challenges, and set goals for improvement in their identified areas.  Students will then discover strategies to help them study, stay organized, and manage the many responsibilities of middle school life.  Coaching will continue into the regular school year and new goals will be set as others are achieved.  Ongoing communication with parents will include conferences, suggested readings, and webinars so that they can better support their adolescent’s growth.
