Are you ready for the best summer ever? Then join us at Camp X! Camp X at Milken is an incredible experience for kids ages 9-14.
Every week at Camp X is different; our campers learn how to design their way through complex challenges and virtually explore the world through a different lens each week!
During the Covid-19 outbreak, our campers will be receiving a Camp X-Design-Kit and engage with the camp staff virtually instead of on-campus activities. Each box is designed to supply campers with virtual activities, get the most of virtual field trips, and have fun with friends!

  • How do I get my Camp X Design Kit?

We will ship boxes to your home the week before they are going to be used. If you prefer, you may come and pick-up your box from the Milken campus from a staff member by arranging a pick-up with our Camp Director, Chris Scarlata.
  • What will I get in my Camp X Design Kit?

Our staff is meticulously procuring all of the items that you will need to complete the design challenge, along with materials that will be instrumental in the carrying out of ‘breakout’ activities that occur throughout the week.
  • When do I need to register by and why is registration limited?

Due to our need to change to a virtual environment, we need to procure and ship supplies to Camp X participants. In order to provide the best experience for our campers, each week of camp is limited to 50 participants.

Registration will close 1 week before each week of camp begins.

  • What does the average day look like at Camp X?

Camp X will run on a virtual platform from 8:30 to 1:00 each day. Students will have 2-3 hours of face to face interaction with our incredible team of design teachers and other students their age. Students will spend some of their time off-screen completing engaging projects that they started with their teachers.

Each week will be centered around a theme and a core design project that all students will complete and document. Throughout the week, extensions connected to the theme will be offered in areas of coding, design, audio/video production, creative writing, cooking and more.

Everyday your camper will be exposed to new technologies, try their hand at different design methods, and imagine new ways to interact with the world around them.
  • Can my child be with their friend in camp?

Campers are divided into groups for the initial build of each week’s core project. Campers will have the opportunity to connect with campers outside of their group in the choice activities that happen throughout the week. Rest assured, if your camper would like to be with their friend, we will do everything we can to accommodate.
  • I'd like to contact someone at Camp X, how do I do that?

We'd love to say hi! Please reach out to Chris Scarlata, Camp X Director at
  • Do you prorate fees for missed days or weeks if my child cannot attend?

Our team designed each week-long experience to have students participate in all activities, so we do not prorate for missed days in a given week.

If your child misses a week of camp, with advance notice we can apply their registration to another week of camp.
  • Can I make a deposit or partial payment for my child's camp?

At this time partial payments for weeks are not available on our registration system.
