Milken provides the opportunity for students to learn and implement the democratic process through Student Government. Student Government consists of an elected executive board, representatives from each grade, and appointed members who hold meetings during the Kehillah period. The executive board and their committees work together to plan programs and events for the student body. 

Students who are accepted into the student government program work with a faculty advisor to plan and execute agendas for town meetings, holiday celebrations and other student life events. Students in the Ambassador program work with members of the admissions team and serve as docents for social and academic campus events.

Each grade in the upper school elects a class council that:
  1. Plans class meetings (in the model of Town Meeting).
  2. Plans one grade-level event.
  3. Holds Class Council meetings with the class advisors.
  4. Works with the Class Dean to plan the grade’s Shabbaton or Retreat.
The Senior Class Council has additional responsibilities which include Purim Shpiel, Prom, the Senior Class Gift, and Senior Retreat.
