Aiden Stark ‘09 Litigates for the US Navy

As a Judge Advocate General of the United States Navy, Aiden Stark ‘09 is a practicing attorney and member of the California Bar Association. He is currently working as a prosecutor on cases securing convictions of criminals through courts-martial.

Milken’s college-preparatory courses challenged Aiden to hone his time management and writing skills before embarking on his undergraduate and graduate studies. Aiden noted, “Milken provided me with an excellent education that set me on a path for success in college and subsequently in law school.” Aiden realized early in his college journey that his advanced coursework in high school was comparable to his college workload, which gave him an advantage over his university classmates.

After graduating from Milken in 2009, Aiden earned his B.A. in European History from UC Santa Cruz in 2013 and both a law degree and certificate of criminal legal practice from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2016. Following law school, Aiden commissioned in the U.S. Navy and became a member of the California Bar Association. He was promoted to Lieutenant and practiced law in the largest fleet concentration in the world at Norfolk, Virginia. In his previous assignments, Aiden has advised numerous military commands on a wide range of legal matters, drafted and executed hundreds of wills, resolved landlord-tenant and commercial disputes, and assisted sailors in family law matters including divorce and child custody.

Aiden plans to continue litigating and sharpening his trial advocacy skills. He is currently awaiting his next military assignment, which could take him just about anywhere around the world.
