Milken’s Guerin Institute for Advanced Sciences offers students an edge when applying for college. Students interact with professionals – like NASA engineers, Technion scientists, and astronauts – and college professors at MIT, CalTech, UCLA, USC, and more. Students are encouraged and inspired to become innovators and entrepreneurs – several now own and operate their own successful businesses. Students compete nationally and internationally – often winning prestigious awards and recognitions.
The Guerin Institute offers an education like no other school. We believe in integrated STEM (Science Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Our innovative technique for teaching STEM impacts all areas of study. Our educators believe that if a student thinks they can do something, that it’s our job to help them achieve their dreams. Students learn in an atmosphere that is devoted to helping them achieve new things. Our technique prepares students for the world that will be, rather than the world as it is.
In our computer-aided design lab, students convert their ideas into models. In the engineering workshop, students manipulate state-of-the-art tools to build working versions of their innovations. Milken houses the area’s only MIT-inspired Fab Lab, where our students make use of complex, high tech tools to fabricate advanced thoughts and ideas. Finally, in our international classroom, students utilize the latest video technology to present their ideas to students and experts in Israel and around the globe.
