On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:30PM, students are invited to attend Lishma for one or more of their classes. Meaning "learning for the sake of learning," Lishma is a time for students to work one-to-one or in small group settings with their teachers and peers, focusing on classroom content, concept review, homework completion, upcoming projects, test and quiz study, and other skill-building activities. Lishma is a wonderful opportunity for students to build their academic and organizational skills in a supportive environment.
Community Working Wednesday
After lunch on Wednesdays, students are afforded an opportunity for academic support or enrichment. With the support of their teachers and Advisors, students use this time to quietly study, work on independent projects with faculty, receive academic and organizational support, and make-up assignments or assessments. Also, under the supervision of Makerspace experts, students can utilize Milken’s Makerspace to engage in creative projects. Lastly, Wednesdays are also used for community time such as enjoying guest speakers and performers and celebrating special events and student accomplishments.
