 Town Meetings

Town Meetings occur regularly throughout the year and offer special opportunities in which the entire Upper School community congregates to celebrate Jewish moments, articulate programs which support the mission, and provide a forum for students to express themselves.

Town Meeting themes have included community-wide Holiday celebrations for Purim, Hanukkah, Yom Hashoah, Yom Hazikaron and Yom Ha'atzma-ut; exploration of the social action issues such as our Katrina Relief trip and Israel Programs; and perfomances from School musicals and concerts. Town Meetings are administered by a committee of elected student government officials and faculty.

Senior Siyyum

The Senior Siyyum and Retreat, sandwiched between Prom and graduation, offers an intimate experience for graduates, faculty, and parents to help bring meaningful closure to four years of the Milken experience. Senior Siyyum occurs at the House of the Book at the Brandeis Bardin Institute, where students are given awards for outstanding achievement and students perform. At the conclusion of the Siyyum, students remain for a 36-hour retreat, facilitated by the senior class leadership and the department of Student Life, providing opportunities to thank and say goodbye to the people who have given them so much.
