Milken Students Speak at Global Conference

Five upper school students and one middle school student presented at the prestigious Milken Institute Global Conference.
Head of School Gary Weisserman also moderated a panel on education gaming called "Playing Games with our Children’s Education."

They joined over 700 speakers exploring solutions to challenges in financial markets, industry sectors, health, government, and education at the four-day event held May 1 - 4. The theme of the conference was "The Future of Humankind."

Following is the list of Milken students who presented, along with their presentation topics:
  • Marcus Bernstein '18 — Robotics design and his custom boogie board business, which won Milken Shark Tank.
  • Phoebe Cohen '16 — Connecting arts and music to brain science.
  • Wolfgang Hutton '20 — Biohacking, genetics, and bioengineering.
  • Alex Marley '18 — Robotics, solar efficient windows, and research at USC on more efficient solar cells to power miniaturized robots.
  • Elliott Sina '17 — Researching alternative stroke methodologies and developing software to combat cyberbullying.
  • Ashley Yeshoua '17 — Developing a rechargeable defibrillator.
