Student Entrepreneurs Dive into Shark Tank

Milken’s student entrepreneurs were front and center, pitching their original business ideas, at the second annual Milken Shark Tank.
Congratulations to the grand prize winner, Marcus Bernstein '18, and second place winners, Eliana Melmed '16 and Zev Melmed '19!

Marcus’s winning business was high-end customizable body boards created by a calculator that estimates the ideal size of body board based on a person’s size. Eliana and Zev’s concept was producing affordable customizable 3D printers. Other pitches in the competition included: the iCloset app that helps people mix and match clothing to determine what to wear and links to the community to see how others are dressed; myH2obottle that calculates the ideal amount water that should be consumed and tracks consumption; and a tracking wristband for children so parents and caregivers can monitor their locations.

Four thousand dollars of prize money will be divided between the grand prize and second place winners. A big thank you to all of our judges, the friendly Sharks, who generously donated their time on weekends throughout the process to provide feedback to our student entrepreneurs!
