Faculty Member Honored with Prestigious Educator Award

Mazal tov to Kelly Shepard for winning the Milken Family Foundation Jewish Educator Award.
Kelly, Department Chair of Performing Arts for the upper school, was surprised with the award before the entire school at a special Town Meeting on September 21. The audience erupted in cheers and applause when Kelly’s name was announced. Richard Sandler, the Milken Family Foundation executive vice president, presented Kelly with the unrestricted prize check of $15,000.

The award recognizes exemplary educators and is presented annually to four education professionals.

Kelly savored the emotional moment with his wife, Naomi Shepard, Department Chair of Performing Arts for the middle school, and their two daughters, Sydney '19 and Lindsay.
