Students Take the Stage in NYC

Thirteen Milken students recently performed at Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center.
They traveled to New York City with the Los Angeles chapter of HaZamir, the international Jewish high school choir. They joined students from HaZamir chapters from all over the United States and Israel for the annual HaZamir Gala Festival.

Kelly Shepard, department chair of the performing arts, had the honor of conducting the 350-member choir in L'Dor Vador by Cantor Gerald Cohen. It was the world premiere of the new work that was commissioned by the Cantors Assembly for HaZamir.

Our School, founded on Jewish values, is about who our children can become and how they can help others become who they might be. Because the world our children will create tomorrow is born in the School we build today, our mission is to educate our children so they can surpass us.
