What is your favorite thing about teaching?
I love it when students are pushed to achieve, and when they do, it makes them hungry for more!
Why do you love teaching at Milken?
I love the energy, enthusiasm and heart that students bring to singing.
Hobbies:
I sing and compete Internationally in a Barbershop Quartet! A little corny, but so much fun!
When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me:
In rehearsal for SOMETHING!
Why/when did you decide to become a teacher?
In college. My voice professor saw something in me and suggested that I become a teacher.
Other roles at Milken:
I am the Performing Arts Department Chair, I am the Musical Director for all musicals, I have the privilege of being an Advisor for the Class of 2011, I teach a Laptop Orchestra Center of Excellence in the Middle School, and I am the director of our a cappella choir on campus, Kol Echad. And finally, one of the best things about working at Milken is that I get to see my wife almost every day - since she teaches Performing Arts at the Middle School.
Why do you love your job?
I love my job because it allows me to share my own passions with my students. I just want them to love singing as much as I do!
Favorite quote:
“There are three kinds of people in the world… Those who can count, and those who can’t.”
