Programs in Israel
Many of our students have had a personal transformative experience with Israel during their tenure at Milken through our exchange program, our Tiferet Israel Fellowship, or through March of the Living. Some of our students have never had a first-hand experience, but still feel deeply committed to Israel. Whatever the degree of your connection, there are many opportunities to live, study, work, and serve in Israel after high school. You may opt to study abroad while in college or even attend college in Israel as an undergraduate or graduate student. Or you may choose to participate in a year long experience prior to college.
Many colleges and universities look favorably upon, or even promote, a deferred year (a/k/a 'gap year' or 'interim year') after high school. Students often use this time to productively engage in meaningful activity and personal development. The gap year is a perfect opportunity to experience Israel.
There are many programs and institutions designed to foster a deep and meaningful relationship with Israel sponsored or hosted by both secular and non-secular organizations. The following are websites we think you will find to be most helpful in initiating your journey.
