Alexander Muss High School in Israel (AMHSI) offers all of the academic requirements of Milken at standard college preparatory and honors levels, as well as at the AP level.
PLEASE NOTE: In order to take an AP class in Israel, the student will need approval from the Milken Department Chair as AP classes and the Tiferet Program in Israel are both very rigorous.
Only the following electives are offered: o Foreign language electives at the standard college preparatory, honors and AP levels. o Drawing 2 and Painting 2 are the only art electives offered and will only be offered if we have a combined total of at least 3 students who enroll in one of these two classes.
PLEASE NOTE: Students interested in applying to Tiferet who have not taken Health in grade 9 need to take Health first semester in grade 10 as Health is not offered in Israel.
No. The schedule is structured such that it cannot accommodate a student who wants to take a foreign language (i.e. Spanish, Latin and Chinese) and another elective.
During the semester in Israel, Chinese, Latin, and Spanish are generally taught during the same period. Therefore, a student cannot be in more than one foreign language class in Israel. In this case, the student consults with the Milken Department Chair of Foreign Languages and their Assistant Principal to work out a plan.
This is determined on a case-by-case basis after a student has applied to Tiferet.

Yes. Milken arranges this with AMHSI in advance of the spring semester.
Student Life in Israel
The safety of our Fellows is of utmost priority. The grounds of AMHSI are fenced and guarded, and all precautions are taken whenever the students are taken on a field trip, including the use of private buses accompanied by a guard/paramedic, as needed. AMHSI is in constant communication with Israeli security authorities so that they have the most current security information and will adjust the day's itinerary, if necessary.
The primary supervision is provided by madrichim (counselors) who live in the dorms with our Fellows. Additionally, teachers and administrators supervise daily life, and some live on campus, as well.
Primary medical care is available on campus 24/7 by a nurse. AMSHI also employs a doctor who comes to campus most days to attend to students. AMHSI has over forty years of experience accommodating the needs of students who have medical or physical challenges. Please contact Ms. Ruth Ickowitz, Administrator of Tiferet Israel Fellowship, to discuss your child's needs.
