Mitchell Academy of Science & Technology

MAST

The Mitchell Academy of Science and Technology (MAST) was created in 2003 for the purpose of providing extraordinary science opportunities for students. A generous donation by the Edward D. and Anna Mitchell Family Foundation and the Kayla Mitchell Foundation made the Academy a reality.

The current flagship of MAST is a three-year science research program. Students work in research laboratories is the USA and Israel. During Grade 12 students submit their original science research to the Intel Talent Search (formerly the Westinghouse Talent Search). The Intel Talent Search is the top science award in the country for a high school student.

Other current programs are the US First robotics competition, and the Shalhevet Freier Physics Tournament held at the Weizmann Insitute in Rehovot, Israel.
